ABOUT
Wisconsin Home Inspector and Custom Carpentry Specialist
Mike Lyman has been involved in the building trades since 1975, starting as
a construction laborer, continuing on as crew foreman and eventually
starting a construction business in 1991 specializing in home remodeling, small
additions, general home repairs and home maintenance. Housing issues may include
major or minor problems. Finding solutions can be a challenge. Experience in
building construction is a “must have” to evaluate the problem. Trends come
into style and then get replaced by the newest rage. Colors come and
go. Styles change. Designs change. Size changes. Even building codes
change. Experiencing these changes gives an insight into the evolution of
the modern house of today as well as refurbishing a century old house and
making it efficient. Even though basic construction methods remain the same,
many systems are constantly changing due to energy efficiency, new product
development, better design, labor saving installation, among other reasons.
All of Mike Lyman's experience has helped him become a premier Wisconsin
Home Inspector and Custom Carpentry Specialist.
To keep track of these updates, continuing
education is needed for code changes, energy conservation and general
design. Certifications are issued by state licensing bureaus to prove
compliance. This ensures the best possible combination of experience and
competency to produce a professional and qualified home inspection report.
